Liked: Room was nice; glad they were dog friendly.
Disliked: Our room was right next to an exit door that was slamming shut all night. We called the front desk about it at about 9:30 because our kids were trying to sleep. They said they would contact maintenance. 45 minutes later it was still happening so I requested a sign be put on the door for people to close it carefully. The slamming became less frequent as the night went on, but was still happening early in the morning. Would have been nice if they would have either fixed it or locked it for the night.

Screw the Hilton in Newark.

Liked: The person who made my omelette was very nice on day one, the person on day two, not so much, but that's ok.
Disliked: The refrigerator in my room was so noisy i looked out my window thinking someone left their car idling but no, it was the fridge. i unplugged it. The water was so bloody hot i almost scalded myself!!! The toilet rocked and the tank looked like it was ready to fall off. The bed was adequate but nothing spectacular. The restaurant charges fine dining prices but honestly next time ill eat across the street, i was just so exhausted after my fathers traumatic surgery, it was descent but definitely overpriced. The staff were very nice but some lady, i want to say her name was Cassandra.......but I'm I may be mistaken charged my card early without asking if i wanted to put everything on the card i had used to reserve the hotel, not a big deal i suppose, but usually they do ask. what i found irritating was when i inquired about why i was charged before my stay was completed she said, "we have to make sure you have enough money to pay your bill!!" What the!? That was a little insulting and frankly makes me rethink staying there again. They charge premium pricing and offer mediocre service. I think I'll try the Hampton across the street when my father has another surgery coming up. I don't need to be insulted and over charged.

Disliked: The staff was very disrespectful and want to play around with us over payment. I come every month and the last month I was there it was awful. When I left they say we didn’t pay for the room. We came there early at 6 in the morning when the night staff did the transaction and we pay for two nights and it went through fine. When we left that Sunday they telling me the payment didn’t go through when it did. They wanted us to pay double. I was like never no more.

Disliked: The check out staff in the morning seem to look at me with suspiciously . I did not appreciate it. They were all white females. I felt they were treating me different as a black male
