Hilton San Diego Mission Valley

The carpet was gross. I had to wear my socks. The bathroom lights were so dingy and it was hard to see. This hotel needs a serious update. Room service food was good and prompt service. The windows kept "cracking" very loud all afternoon. The adjoining room had guests that got up at 3AM and incessantly talked for 2 hours - I could hear every word they said. I went to the lounge and sat for 10 minutes and no one ever waited on me - I only saw customers - not one hotel employee.

Disliked: Pillows were horrible super flat...requested 4 extra pillows and never received them I called twice for them...other than that good hotel

Liked: Honestly nothing except maybe the balcony view.
Disliked: First, I arrived at mid night from my flight only to found that they shifted my stay from the original hotel to another one nearby without sending an email, text, or a call. They did not even cover the Uber.In the second hotel, they gave me the keys to a room only to find out that a man and his family were sleeping inside and it was the first time in my life to have such an awkward encounter.Afterwards, they gave me keys to a room that was literally not prepared to receive visitors. The beds were empty with no matt or cushions. There was a piles of matts and cushions on a nearby sofa with a really bad smell. At this point, I was exhausted enough to argue with them any further and just slept in those conditions.They reimbursed $130 out of the $180 (not counting the $14 I used for the Uber), which I think was not fair at all to the very poor quality and the overall sad experience I went though.Nobody even called to apologize later.
