Underwhelming.....

Liked: The hotel is in a lovely location and has free parking. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable.
Disliked: We only stayed one night. A family trip to Twickenham for the rugby and night in a good hotel, as a birthday treat for my 11 year old grandson. I had an email on booking telling me a birthday balloon would be awaiting my grandson in the family room. I even checked with the staff when we stopped by before going to the match..Small thing but it didn't happen. The girl on check-in was disinterested and unwelcoming and our rooms were miles apart. I booked months in advance.. We were never asked if we wanted to book for breakfast... So we went elsewhere in the morning. The family room was nice. Our queen room was okay, huge bathroom with a shower. Personally, I would have liked a bath rather than a TV in the shower that didn't have a remote to use it anyway!

Worst maintained Hilton!

Liked: There was one staff at the bar. - Jamie Lou, she was wonderful and tried to make a difference.
Disliked: The room which was an upgrade, was absolutely abysmal! Paint peeling off, chipped edges, very depressing and had a very horrible odour that I had to change the room which made very little difference. The worst maintained Hilton property! When speaking to guest services, they tried telling me rubbish like its an old property, well that doesn't mean it can be left without maintenance! Tried compensating by giving me a few drinks vouchers, well that didn't help me with my stay! Wouldn't bother coming back, no thank you!

Exceptional

Liked: Great staff and hotel overall.
Disliked: Location is far from centre of London & not many ways to travel to local buses or trains.

Bad

Liked: They promised to provide me stuff for birthday decorations and they failed to provide so I also payed for a room upgrade and was charged and put in the same room I feel like I’ve been robbed and treated awfully due to my skin of colour I could feel how the staff was with me

Liked: Good location Comfortable bed
Disliked: We expected an upgrade as planned but it wasn’t available, the room was not fully cleaned to a professional standard, the room opposite was smoking weed and the smell was overbearing & noisy, the breakfast was cold and incorrect & you used to be able to access the spa for free but now you have to pay even as a hotel guest which has gone downhill with its appearance and cleanliness . Overall I’ve stayed here so many times over the years but unlikely to again after this stay!
