Nice room and lovely staff

Liked: location perfect for exhibition centre. I LOVE that there is a real bath tub! I never had the breakfast as I am vegan and it was not clear if there were vegan options available.
Disliked: I upgraded my room as it said I would get complimentary water, but when I asked at reception they said I would have to pay extra for it, if I wanted more than one can of water. Also the bed seemed quite small for a premium room.

A must stay for Kensington...

Liked: Hotel was very clean,we stayed in a twin room on the 8th floor and all the staff were very friendly,breakfast was really nice with a fabulous selection , But a big shout out really must go to the concierge gentleman he was very helpful with all information helping with where to go,what to do ,booking us tickets getting us a taxi etc really made our stay stress free nothing was to much trouble I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are wanting to be in the Kensington area.

The location and the breakfast...

Liked: Liked the location and the breakfast. The breakfast was very varied, both in terms of hot or cold breakfasts. The waitresses were excellent and attentive. Wide selection of buses so easy to get around.
Disliked: T.V. not working. Reported twice on internal telephone, was told that someone would come immediately, then that someone would come after he had finished with a customer, nobody ever came. Next day went down to report it personally then someone was sent up. Room dated, bed uncomfortable, didn't sleep for the two nights we stayed there. Bathroom - getting in and out difficult, we are both 75 years old, with some disability, this bath and shower very frustrating. The little glass screen totally useless, water everywhere. Supply of toiletries inadequate and somewhat mean, e.g. one shower cap for two people; one body wash, had to use hair shampoo to wash our bodies. No lights above bed, couldn't see to do anything. No fridge, in this hot weather we would have liked a old drink, had to go out to get something cold. For the amount of money paid and the name and reputation of The Hilton Hotel, we were expecting a better class of hotel and would certainly not use the hotel again, unless improvements are made.

Divine pillows, comfortable stay, will...

Liked: I had already checked in a hotel nearby, but 60 steps to get to my cramped, very hot, dark room! I put the fan on & went for a walk. (Only 19 degrees outside)!Came back & unbearably hot, actually thought I might die of a heart attack if I stayed! Found the Hilton online, cheaper too! The staff were lovely and I had a fantastic comfortable stay. Loved the air con & having a fridge for my water. The pillows were divine, bed comfy and a large flat screen tv! What's not to like. Can't understand why it's ratings are so low! Which is why i didn't book it initially, the hotel i originally booked had a 9 and this a 7! Just shows how wrong they can be!
Disliked: The water pressure in the shower was a bit low. Not a problem unless washing your hair!
