Liked: Our third visit to the hotel and will certainly return again in the future! The location is ideal for Hyde park and a great base for exploring the city. The staff and service were as fantastic on this visit as on our first. Our first choice hotel for any visit to the city.

Liked: The location is excellent, with two metro stations within easy reach. The staff are exemplary and the breakfast and dining room are good. I would have expected a wider selection of continental food and desserts, given that the restaurant is supposed to be French. Most of the room's features work well and there is enough space for one person to stay comfortably. The fridge is large enough. It is not dusty.
Disliked: I paid the full price to stay in room 114, which has a window, but not much use for it as it is dark inside. You can't open the window because there is a noisy ventilation system in front of it, and it is dirty with pigeon droppings. Even with the window closed, it was possible to hear the noise. The air conditioner works, but it is quite loud even at the lowest setting, so it is not ideal for spending time in the room. The bathroom is very small; many people would struggle to shower in it. At best, a room like this could be used by the hotel for storage. It is far from what it looks like in the photos. I informed the staff about the situation, but they were unwilling to replace the room or partially reimburse the cost of the stay.

Liked: Great location with walking distance to Oxford St and Portobello markets. Across the road from Hyde Park.
Disliked: The property is tired and needs a makeover. In saying that I have stayed there 5 times over past 10 years.

Liked: Second time staying here. Great experience overall. Staff very very nice and helpful. Great location. Good breakfast and again friendly staff.
Disliked: The rooms are adequate but getting a little dated. Beds are very comfy though and bathrooms are refurbished. So overall pretty good.
