Hilton Harrisburg And Towers

Aside from not being able to cool the room down past 70 degrees, this place was great. Clean, comfortable. When we arrived our room was not ready, so they upgraded us! A little bit of a walk from the parking garage to check in, but they comp your parking!

Liked: Staff was very nice. Reception desk person was charming. Bartender also very nice.
Disliked: Parking was a zoo. We had to wait 30 minutes to get to the check in spot because of so many cars for a wedding. Many cars were out in the street blocking traffic. AC did not work in the room so it was very hot. Beds not very comfortable.

Liked: Front desk staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful
Disliked: Billing did NOT pay attention to the notes from the front desk staff. I signed up for Hilton Honors and was told that the water in the room would be complimentary. Then I was charges over $6.00 for it.

Liked: The bed and pillows were amazing.The shampoo/conditioner/soap/lotion being attached to the wall with easy to use pumps was great!
Disliked: The ice machine on my floor didn't work so I had to go down a flight twice during my one night stay.The ad lib bar late night menu is very limited. We were there with a large group of volleyball, baseball, and wrestling, parents whose tournaments end later in the evening. The only place to get food at the hotel was the bar and the menu is very high end, esp. for hungry kids.The room temperature is horrible. I had it set to 60 and high fan. The coolest my room got was 72, which is way to hot to sleep.The parking garage is a tight fit for cars, and kind of scary at night.

Just one thing....

Liked: I loved the willingness of the staff to ensure that I was comfortable, and they made me feel welcomed.
Disliked: So, the weekend I stayed, the heat was out in my room. It just never came on, and I let the front desk know. To their credit, they did offer to place me in another room, but I just didn't want to move and bother anyone (there was a kids sporting tournament happening) so late. They did ensure I was comfortable and asked if I needed any extra blankets, so I appreciated the effort.That was the only issue I had because it snowed that weekend, lol!! The engineer and building maintenance came to assess the issue, and apologized profusely. But I let them know it was understandable and things just happen.It is not an easily fixable issue and only wanted to bring it to the hotel's attention in the event the entire HVAC system was shutting down (a few folks at the bar said their room felt cold to them as well...I don't know if they also had an issue, just that I heard the same complaint from another guest), and the hotel will need a major overhaul.Honestly, everything else was great....especially the chocolates at check in!!
