Beautiful room but disinterested staff,...
Liked: We booked the King suite and it was beautiful. Clean, chic, well appointed and larger than we had expected.Very comfortable bed/mattress!A few nice touches like the laundry washing powder and dishwasher tablet being provided was great.Very sweet lady serving in the Marketplace/shop at breakfast who was kind to my son when he was upset.
Disliked: A long wait for anyone to come and help with our luggage when we arrived - we weren't allowed to take our own luggage trolley and waited almost 15 minutes for someone to bring one over.Rude/unhelpful/disinterested staff at the main desk and phone when we called for help with the coffee machine - seemed very preoccupied and definitely not of the 'customer is always right' attitude!No instructions for the coffeemaker in the room!Disappointed that despite us specifying when we booked that we would have 2 children with us, therefore needing the sofa bed, there was only one pillow provided fo the sofa bed. However, housekeeping responded promptly when we called to ask for another pillow.False advertising about the swimming facilities - when we booked the page said 3 pools, and in all photos online an even on the room TV homescreen we kept being shown a green waterside and kids pool, but no staff member at the Hilton seemed to know what we meant, and we were assured there was only one pool area!We also felt we were misled about the breakfast - a voucher for a greasy breakfast muffin sandwich, a pastry, one hot drink and a juice wasn't what we expected from a 4* hotel. More upsetting was the total disinterest/unhelpful attitude when I asked what the Gluten Free option was, apparently there wasn't one so my wife's breakfast consisted of a cup of tea and a bottle of apple juice. We were very disappointed.Hilton, you can do better!
