Disappointing.
Liked: This is our 4th stay at this resort. We love the location and the layout and size of the rooms - we went for a 2 bedroom unit. On check in- the team at the front desk did their best to accommodate our requests. It's one of the few resorts who still offer free parking.
Disliked: Attention to detail and customer service has slipped. We had a 3 week stay in May/June. Housekeeping was almost non-existent. Towels were changed regularly - every 2nd day, however that's the only positive. The bath tub was full of hair, the floors were constantly dirty, in three weeks the carpets in the bedroom were not cleaned once, the sheets were never changed despite three requests. To compound the issue with the sheets, the master bedroom sheets had a cigarette burn making sleeping with sun burn very uncomfortable. That would explain the stench of Cannabis in the room when we checked in. There was regularly trash in the stairwells for days at a time. Housekeeping and the front desk were impossible to get through to on the phone. On one occasion when I connected with the front desk, I notified them about the sheets, they kept me on hold for 9 minutes and then disconnected the call. I couldn't get through to them for the remainder of the evening. The main pool never felt clean, the water was always murky and there was a thick cruddy film on the pool ledge. One of the female bartenders has a terrible aggressive attitude. She's working there a few years and could do with some refresher customer service training. For the last three days of our trip we moved resort to Sheraton Vistana Villages. In contrast these apartments, grounds and pools were spotless and their entire team were super responsive. So disappointed with Tuscany Villages. This was our 4th time at the resort, we love staying here because of the location and size of the units but standards have dropped too low for us to return.
