Nice rooms, unfriendly atmosphere. Breakfast...
Liked: The room with two double beds was a good size , beds were comfortable and it was very clean.
Disliked: The Air conditioning unit built into the ceiling needs to have an “OFF” button. It was excessively noisy and, after a long trip from Ireland, we couldn’t sleep because of the noise from this fan unit. The reception staff are either overworked, untrained or unapproachable. They do not want to engage especially if there’s a problem to solve. A big improvement in hospitality and customer service is urgently needed.

Liked: I loved this hotel. I will definitely stay here anytime I come to NY. The room was super clean and spacious, staff was terrific and helped us with early check-in and late check out, and there's lots of restaurants, movies, etc within walking distance.

Nice hotel near Hudson River...
Liked: Good facility, great location -- restaurants, stores and movie theatre next door. Easy walking paths for dogs. Very nice Hudson River towns nearby. Right off small highway that heads south directly into the west side of Manhattan.
Disliked: WARNING: BREAKFAST IS A FLIM-FLAM. Even if you've paid for breakfast with your booking, the waitress will approach you and tell you that you need to pay for it. This has happened to me on several stays. If you have the presence of mind to remember you've already paid for breakfast, you'll be ordered to go to the front desk for a coupon -- while your breakfast grows cold. You'll point out that hotels all over the world (including, hmmm, Hiltons) print out the list of guests who've paid for their breakfasts already, and that this hotel restaurant even has a little rostrum on which to place such a list. But you'll be met with blank stares -- because why fix the system if all involved can gain extra revenues (and tips) by pleading incompetence?
