Clean, comfortable and lovely walk...

Liked: The breakfast and promenade along the river.
Disliked: No cameras in the parking lot!!!

I'd definitely stay here again,...

Liked: The location was great; the restaurant and breakfast services (and that staff) were super; the housekeeping was superb; and parking was OK. The receptionist named Brittany (a new hire) was very accommodating and friendly, to the point where she quickly dragged out a long broom, went with me to my car, and swept underneath to retrieve the remote to the car I'd dropped, which then ended up beneath the car!
Disliked: I thought that, in general, there wasn't enough help at the front reception desks, the morale didn't seem very high, and the receptionists were, perhaps, tasked with doing too much. I thought also that perhaps turnover was high in those positions because of pay vs responsibilities. The reception area is the "front door" of the hotel, and the Garden Hilton could do BETTER, besides sending the money up to "the top" somewhere!

Good if not surge prices

Liked: The location on the riverfront path and next to downtown is great. It’s relatively new and therefore still clean. The parking is included and easy.
Disliked: The rooms on the “inner U” (the building is huge and U shaped) look into the other rooms so you must close the blind- and both blinds are not see through so you have no natural light/privacy tradeoff. The rooms are huge but somehow don’t include anything a normal room wouldn’t. Ie it’s huge for no reason. I didn’t like the carpet in the room. Also there is literally only one hook on the wall which is in the one inch space between the doorway and the shower glass- so it’s not enough for even 1 towel. I don’t get where you are supposed to save your towels for one let alone 2 or 4 people in a room. The toilet is low. But I would say the worst is the water pressure/shower. I would’ve not thought it was funny at all if I had been on a romantic getaway. I used one of the paper cups to try to make do. That being said- due to the limited options in the area- if I got a good deal I’d stay again.

Great Location!

Liked: Perfect location: right on the river, next to Pybus Market, and just a short walk to downtown. The room was spacious, bright, and had a comfortable bed. It was also nice having a fridge and microwave. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
