Located next to the Stadium of Light the home of Sunderland Football Club Hilton Garden Inn is located 15 minutes' walk from Sunderland city center and 5 minutes' drive from the sandy beaches of Roker and Seaburn. Perfect long weekend - we...

Liked: Perfect location (beside Stadium of Light, close to beach, close to Sunderland city center)Close to public transportReally kind and helpful staffRestaurant with good selection and quality of food
Disliked: Sunderland lost to Millvall 0:1, but this is not what the hotel could influence :)

Pleasant and convenient

Liked: The view was pretty rubbish we looked onto a roof , not a major issue but the receptionist did let us check in early so didn’t mind , it was also very quiet during the night
Disliked: The room smelled musty , the windows don’t open and the pillows were awful far too soft so didn’t sleep great

Superb

Liked: Everything was clean, tidy, calm. Staff were welcoming.
Disliked: Had issues trying to understand parking area.....and would be very difficult if there was a football match going ahead at time of arrival.
