Hilton Garden Inn Starkville

Disgusting

Disliked: The pictures on the website of the property DO NOT match the actual property. The exterior of the building had stained paint, crumbling steps and large cracks in the parking and drive. More humid inside the building than outside 94 degree weather. The room was outdated and in desperate need of a deep thorough cleaning. Bathroom had mold on the soap dish and paint the tub. Shower head was old and had gunk built up. Furniture was scraped and peeling. Just overall disgusting. I would have never booked this hotel had I known the property was in such dire need of repair and cleaning.

Liked: Breakfast was very good when I could get there to eat before closing.
Disliked: We are late sleepers since we are retired and we eat later. The restaurant was closed after breakfast until 5pm.

Pleasant

Liked: The rooms definitely need to be upgraded/remodeled. For the price I didn’t see much difference in the Hilton versus a red roof in for much cheaper.
Disliked: Rooms were comparable to interstate stop over motels
