Disliked: I called the hotel to confirm my reservation after being unable to use the Hilton Honors app to complete the digital check-in. I always use this option when staying at a Hilton hotel so that I can select my room and bypass waiting at the frontdesk. The person that I spoke to stated that she did not see a reservation for me for July 25 - 26th.I made my reservation through the Booking site like always. I received a confirmation email from Booking confirming my reservation with the hotel for July 25th - 26th. I called Booking immediately and the person that I spoke with confirmed my reservation. She asked me to hold while contacting the hotel. After holding for several minutes, she came back on the line and informed that the person was checking in customers and could not help her at the moment. She asked me to hold again to call back. When she returned back to the line after being gone for about 10 minutes. She stated that she was unable to speak back to the person, no one was answering the phone. She kept trying to call back and no answer.She told me that she would send an email to the Hilton Garden Inn Schaumburg asking that I be accommodated. She said that a 45 minutes timeframe would be given for a response. If hotel was unable to accommodate me then my reservation would be canceled free of charge. Booking would help me find another hotel and pay for my stay.Needless to say that the issue did not get resolved. It is very clear that ball was dropped between Booming and the Hilton Garden Inn Schaumburg hotel. This is one of my favorite Hilton hotels, I always stay at a Hilton hotel when traveling. I am a rewards member. I am beyond disappointed with the treatment I received.To make matters worse, I was in town to attend the funeral service of my grandmother. My cousin and I both used Booking website to make our reservation. We always use it. The Hilton had his reservation but not mine.
