Hilton Garden Inn Saskatoon Downtown

The room had a mattress that was adjustable; instructions for how to use it properly should be on the side table. We did not have a great sleep on the mattress - woke up with sore backs.

Liked: Room was comfortable and clean; front counter staff very friendly.
Disliked: Not impressed with dining restaurant - food wasn't good for price paid.

Liked: The room was beautiful. Hotel was neat and clean. Was extremely happy to receive 2x bottles of water when booking in. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The coffee in the room availble was also good, whereas I have experiened some poor choices at previous hotels. The soaps etc. was also great products. Even though I do not think there were enough staff available at the front desk upon arrival, the lady was extremely friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The toilet was loose (I did report at the reception when checking out). It wasn't great having to pay for parking. Also, there was no signage on the building. I actually went to the Holiday Inn by mistake as I could not find the hotel. The breakfast choices weren't fantastic, that opted me to rather have a high protein breakfast elsewhere. These are not complaints, merely observations. Location wasn't great. I do think I would have been more willing to pay more and drive further if I knew what the location looked like late at night as I stayed as I was attending a conference in the city. I wasn't completely comfortable with parking my business owned vehicle in an open parking where there was people walking around in the parking lot (not a secured parking area) and having to walk to the hotel with beggars laying on the pavements.

Disliked: The hot tub and pool are disgusting. There are tiles so thick with grey sludge you can scrape it with your finger nail. Yes I know renovations are being done but that’s doesn’t mean the space we are paying for NOW shouldn’t be maintained. There were no other facilities either because of renovations yet the rooms were still expensive.

Liked: Good parking, clean facilities, friendly staff, room had been renovated so very nice. Definetly recommend.
Disliked: Breakfast included would have been nice.
