Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City Airport Ut, Salt Lake City

Was hoping the pool was open later and maybe dinner served later too but it was still a great stay.

Liked: Extremely beautiful place to stay! Loved it.

Overall, a good stay except...

Liked: The location, the view, the price, the rooms were great
Disliked: I did not like that I had to buy food to get a cocktail from the bar after a long day at the volleyball tournament. You lost a lot of revenue due to turn g us away

Disliked: Hotel personnel neither hotel manager were able to find our reservation despite a booking.com confirmation number and confirmation email by the hotel itself. Garden Inn proposed to book a room direct with them and promised they would take care of the booking.com reservation with no extra charges. Staff was friendly and helpful, but guess what: VISA overview shows 2x the cost. Maybe the hotel or booking.com will refund after a series of back-and-forth emails, but it is a hassle and is surely not something you want to deal with after a vacation. Comfort suites (**) is closer to the SLC airport, rooms are as clean, staff is friendly too, breakfast is included, similar room is a lot cheaper and I did not have to deal with payment issues at all. My advise: Go there for a hassle free-stay.

Liked: Location was ok. Shuttle driver, Martin was a star next morning, taking us directly to the car rental hub which he told us was closer to the hotel, as opposed to taking us back to the airport to wait for the rental shuttle.
Disliked: We arrived late in the evening, tired from a long flight. Preparing for bed, washing in the sink, I realised my feet were getting wet - the sink was leaking from the waste pipe and had flooded the bathroom.Went downstairs to reception and requested another room. No apology, just handed me another room key. We then had to repack our things and move to the alternate room in the wee small hours. New room was clearly close to some services equipment which droned and cycled on and off during the night, keeping us awake.Exhausted and thoroughly miserable we went down to breakfast, to find the fresh coffee machine was out of order and the credit card machine was not working.
