Liked: The Hilton Garden Inn felt more upscale than I was expecting. We had a lovely dinner in the lounge, our room was comfortable and spotless, and service at all points was excellent.
Disliked: The elevators are small and a bit out of the way but they’re quick.

Liked: Staff are great, clean, easy to get too, within walking distance of the Parliament, buildings and byward market, where we walked to have dinner.I went down to the breakfast area and had coffee early in the morning while waiting for my friends. Sat and sketched and thoroughly enjoyed watching everyone coming and going. Lots of families and people on business all of which looked very happy and seem to be enjoying their stay .

Liked: The staff at the front desk and the bar are magnificent. Truly a luxury stay with the professionalism of all the staff.
Disliked: We wanted to stay at the bar longer, Sadly it closes at 10 but zero complaints!

Hotel is good but needs...

Disliked: From the start, the check-in process was extremely slow. A Few customers cut in line, and the staff didnt even bother to inform them about line manners, and also staff provided little to no information about hotel procedures or amenities. I was also informed that housekeeping requires 24 hours’ notice—something that was neither communicated in advance nor reasonable for guests expecting standard daily service.To make matters worse, the overall attitude of the staff was unwelcoming, with interactions that felt dismissive and at times rude. This is unacceptable from a brand that positions itself as a leader in hospitality.I am not interested in a generic explanation about hotel policy. I expect this feedback to be taken seriously and addressed directly.

Liked: Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, as good as expected. No problem there.
Disliked: The breakfast was a disappointment. Pulled pork and falafals on offer instead of Canadian bacon or ham? Cold, greasy turkey sausages. The orange juice ran out. The eggs ran out. The toaster did not work. The one staffer was running ragged trying to keep things filled up - and complaining loudly about it. It was a real letdown.
