Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach

All good. Wish they could have left breakfast out longer as we missed it, but overall good.

Liked: Great room with an amazing view.
Disliked: Asked for some regular coffee to make in room as there was only decaf in the room. Went to the front desk and they said they would send some up. Never got the coffee.

Liked: The pool was nice.
Disliked: The parking lot isn't secure. Anyone can get in and out of the parking lot, the lobby, the pool area, the elevator, the hotel. The room had a dirty chair and stool that we wouldn't sit on. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable 3/10. The luggage rack was rusted. There were holes in the curtains, and you could see straight across to the next hotel. There was mold on the wallpaper in the bathroom next to the mirror and under the ledge in the shower. Dirt along the baseboards. The door to the cabinet of the fridge was off the hinge. So many issues, definitely not worth the $$.

Liked: The view was great and the maintainance staff were the sweetest and you could tell they were super busy. They had just hired a new bartender that had talked to in passing and she was super sweet as well.
Disliked: Housekeeping appeared to have been rushed from the last clean up. There was an old hair tie on the floor, some shells and rocks, etc. There was nothing in the shower as far as shampoo, soap and conditioner. The sliding door curtian was just chewed up with holes and the inside portion of the airconditioning unit was a little rusty with metal pieces sticking out of that area. There was light sockets in between the 2 beds but no bulbs. And no I didn't complain because my whole purpose of going on a solo vacation was to get day to day work stress out of my system, didn't want to start my days off with more. Also at check in, that gal had a short attitude and I just didn't want to deal with that kind of negativity anymore after traveling. The front desk as a whole could learn from maintainance staff attitude.

Disliked: The smell on our 5th floor was terrible! Like cover your nose until you got on the elevator bad. There was rust in the room, carpet was sticky! Couldn’t walk without shoes.

Liked: Room seem to be clean but it had a bad odor!

Everything was just completely rundown!

Disliked: The cost was not worth the stay at this hotel. It’s obvious the owner of the building is more concerned with making money verses keeping up with their building for potential repeat customers. Also, I find it obsurd having to pay for parking when you pay over $450 for one night to stay at the hotel. It needs to be completely remodeled inside and out. The outside grounds area had beer cans and garbage everywhere. The inside had dirty carpet, dirty walls, the balcony railing appeared to be very old, the sliding glass door was very old and dirty, the trim was coming apart, the furniture in the rooms was worn and old, no hair dryer; everything was just completely rundown. I will never stay at this hotel again.
