Hilton Garden Inn New York/Central Park South-Midtown West

The staff went out of their way to help me in and out of my room. When asked a question or asked to do something they went above and beyond. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Great value for money.

Liked: The rooms are kind of spacious (for NY) and relatively quiet. Beds are comfortable, there is a refrigerator and a microwave which is super convenient. It is very close to shops and restaurants and a few blocks away from Central Park.
Disliked: There was some remodeling going on in the hall. Elevators are slow, but still ok (took us about 4-5 minutes at the most busy time of day to get to our floor).

Liked: The location is perfect for our sightseeing needs.The staff was very nice and helpful Sean at the front desk checked us in and was pleasant, helpful and very nice. upon leaving the concierge in the lobby was very pleasant and helpful.

Appalled at having $100 PER...

Disliked: Elevator service was terrible!!! Awkward shape of room. Little hanging space - wardrobe crammed with ironing board, butler luggage stand, etc. Very noisy air conditioner.

A nice relaxing room in...

Liked: It's a Hilton Property located four blocks South of Central Park and six blocks North of Times Square. This is our second time staying at this property and once again the staff are five star and extremely helpful and courteous. For those two main reasons we plan on staying there again.
Disliked: The elevators are old and they only have three. If you are leaving or arriving at peak times and sometimes off peak times you'll be waiting for the elevator for a while. My wife and I had to make sure we gave enough lead time because of the unpredictability.In addition there are only three smaller elevators and there is not a dedicated service elevator for the staff. This creates a bigger problem taking an elevator away from the guests use.Overall we really enjoy ourselves when we're there and decided to accept the negative due to all the positives.
