Hilton Garden Inn Memphis Southaven

The hotel is beautiful; the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. My only complaint and I realize this is very subjective, was the extreme firmness of the mattress. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but I would bring a sleeping pill. :)

Paid extra for a room with a King bed. Did not get that room. Front desk help was the most vile person I have dealt with - she needs to be looking for a new job.

Perfect, besides the condition of...

Liked: Food was great. Room was cozy and clean. Staff was incredibly friendly.
Disliked: Pool area was very dirty. There was food and hair on the ground. Chairs and tables were very dirty. Water in pool was murky and needed attending to. My children did not mind, but I did not enjoy the pool.

Liked: we had just had a very disappointing experience at another local hotel and my 18 year-old daughter was not looking forward to staying at yet another local hotel. However the staff were amazing and incredibly friendly and helpful. The locality was so good (very close to shops in fact JCPenney is across the driveway and restaurants and other shopping is minutes away) that my daughter actually asked to stay on a couple more nights so that we could continue to shop locally now we had a rental car. The shuttle the hotel took us over to get our rental car without fuss. The indoor pool and spa was nice and clean. The fitness centre was well set up also
Disliked: The only downside to this hotel and we noticed it is in all others we have stayed in is the negativity that is mentioned when we’ve gone through a third-party booking site such as booking.com. I don’t think some of these hotels realise that that’s the best way of us doing it internationally
