Liked: Big space, friendly staff on a stormy night!

Beware extra fees, ok stay

Liked: The room had great views, was very clean. The main lobby is lovely and easy access to the beach. There are resort activities included in your resort fee, but really only applies if you stay multiple days.
Disliked: The soundproofing could use improvement--you can hear adjoining room toilet flushing like it's in your own room and noisy kids down below. On Booking, it said there was free parking--there is not, it is $25 a day. We ate dinner at Mamahunes and holy resort fees Batman-we ordered two sets of tacos and one drink. It should have cost us about $55 before tip--we got a bill for $80.

Liked: Nice facility, kept clean and maintained.
Disliked: Some front desk staff were a little standoffish. Ironing board in the room was broken.

Liked: Location and proximity to the ocean and the fact that it had the cottage option.
Disliked: The desk clerk originally booked us into the wrong room. We booked a King bed ocean view room and she placed us in the room with two double beds with partial ocean view. We complained and was given a cottage as an acceptable alternative.

Best welcome to the island!

Liked: The staff was absolutely the best!!! The beautiful grounds and the M-W-F Sunrise service and brief educational teaching about the island and culture are a DO NOT MISS!

Liked: Staff was amazing, especially the gentleman at the front desk during the day/ evening of my stay. I cannot remember his name but he was incredible - it was a common name, worked overnight/sometimes during the day, too.

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: I killed 5 cockroaches during my first night, the rest was too quick and then I stopped counting. There is a constant loud background noise and the a/c is so noisy that you can hear it even if you have earplugs in your ears.

Centrally located on Kauai so...

Liked: The room was spacious and we got an ocean room so that was nice to wake up to sunrise. There's a beach a walk away which I enjoyed and a bar onsite. Pool and jacuzzi were nice and I'd say this hotel was in the middle of Kauai making it the perfect place to stay and enjoy both sides! Beds were comfy and I slept fine, room service towels and everything else were great! Breakfast on site was also good!
Disliked: The hotel was great so I have nothing to say that I didn't like.
