Hilton Garden Inn Hattiesburg

Our stay was great and...

Liked: The breakfast was great!! Even the young lady that was there on Sunday morning was very helpful. The room was nice and clean and cold cause it was very hot. The maintenance guy I didn't get his name. He was recently hired only work weekends.. he helped me while on his lunch break when I was having a issue with my car he found a way to get my brake light to go off so it wouldn't run my battery down 🤗🤗. My kids enjoyed the pool area 😌 did not want to get out. . the lady that housekeeping was very nice as well 🥰 You have a great hotel in a great location great staff ❤️
Disliked: The hot tub /Jacuzzi was the only thing it worked Saturday night just the next day the jets didn't work but it was still nice 🙂 the pool water was really cold. Guessing it doesn't have a temp sensor.. my stay was June 28. It's July 27 I still haven't received my Incidentals money back and the room was kept well as we left . I didn't know it takes that long 😕 I was charged for the bar and also breakfast but we only had breakfast 😔 which good by the way

Miserable due to overbooked hotel

Disliked: Elevators were out of order. The hotel was overbooked. There were people running around everywhere. Hotel was way understaffed, to deal with the amount of people staying in that hotel. There were 6 to 8 people staying in rooms all around us. Hanging out in the hallway, spilling food everywhere. Because the elevators were out of order, everyone had to take the stairs. Children were playing in the stairs and there was food everywhere. 30+ people in the pool running all over the place leaving water on every surface. This was a situation where the staff could not succeed because the hotel was way overbooked. There should’ve been 10 more people working there due to the volume of guests running all over the hotel.

Liked: Nothing , the rooms and bathrooms are extremely small
Disliked: The bathroom is too small can’t even turn around in it

Liked: Clean. Night clerk was helpful and friendly.

Liked: Price was affordable and our wss was decent. Bathroom could've been cleaned better. Breakfast was no longer complimentary which meant you had to order food to be cooked and wait 45 minutes for your table's food to be done. Staff charged me an extra 265.00 for no apparent reason.i stayed there with no incident previously so im still not sure what the Hilton has going on.

Disliked: I reserved a room online through a 3rd party which I paid for when booking and the hotel charged me the same amount, couldnt find my reservation even though i had my confirmation, and the tub room i booked online, I did not receive.

Liked: Liked the location, staff, and cleanliness!
Disliked: Didn't like that the hot tubs heat didn't work, also didn't like the bedding (the blanket for the bed was WAY too hot, the top blanket was tok scratchy feeling like a hospital blanket, and the sheets were too thin to sleep under just them even with the room turned down to 60° it was too hot under the blankets)
