Hilton Garden Inn Alexandria Old Town

Very nice hotel, but unaffordable...

Liked: Very Nice Staff! Cleaner Facility.
Disliked: We understand there isn’t breakfast available at this type of Hilton, although the food that was offered was too pricey for what it was. We haven’t a chance one night and the food is extremely sub par. I also felt bad for the kitchen staff. They made breakfast each morning and not one person took advantage of it in the 4 mornings we were there. $19.95 for a basic breakfast!? I was disappointed, we would have eaten at the hotel if it were more reasonable for 5 of us.

Liked: Never answered the phone. No meals available. The ac went off in our nephews room and he had to go to another hotel.

I loved this place!!

Liked: It was close to everything. The food, staff, room was terrific. Parking unfortunately is metered but they are very helpful
Disliked: Metered parking. Breakfast not free

My room should have been...

Liked: The front desk was helpful when we arrived early. He stored our bags in a safe place while we went to the baseball game.
Disliked: My room wasn’t available until after 6pm. I even checked in early 24hrs in advance .

Liked: Right across from Metro, Amtrak, free Trolley
Disliked: We came back to a power outage one evening- with no explanation, apology, or compensation for a strange evening. Also had problems with TV jumping offline and miscommunications with housekeeping.
