Disliked: On arrival and seeing that the hotel was under renovations. Scaffoldings all outside the hotel and nothing was mentioned about this on the hotel websites. Maybe why we got the free room upgrade.

Liked: The hotel had a location that could not be beat. It was just a short walk to The Royal Mile - could not get closer. The staff was amazing and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Disliked: There was construction on the hotel itself. We were a group of 6 - 3 couples. I didn't hear any construction whatsoever, however, another couple was hearing banging at 7 a.m. from construction. The lobby is under construction so I would have loved to see what the original lobby looked like.
