Hilton Des Moines Downtown

Excellent. Have never been to Des Moines before but felt safe.

Liked: Service; beds; pillows; closeness to venue.

Worth the stay if you...

Liked: Room was clean, large shower is a plus as I am a bigger person. The hotel was quiet at the staff were helpful.
Disliked: The amount of food in the restaurant for the money was not where it could have been. On top of that the pasta I had ordered had no protein on it. The $30 a night stay to park my vehicle is a bit excessive, and the grab and go might have been the worst price wise that I have seen.

Disliked: Cray stupid prices for the breakfast buffet. I walked to breakfast places due to the usury price for scrambled eggs and bacon. My wife had oatmeal. 50 dollars. Get real.

Liked: It was centrally located, modern, well maintained, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. And the rooms were exceptionally clean.
Disliked: It’s minor, but more towels and wash cloths would have been great.

Disliked: Not only was there not a free breakfast as many hotels offer for travelers, the restaurant was outrageously expensive.

Disliked: i wasn’t able to stay there as i’m not 21. when booking you should ask for age because now i’m down $200. dumb.

Great experience and great location

Liked: Fitness room was great. Perfect location for our purpose.
Disliked: Room wasn’t vacuumed and bathroom floor was dirty upon arrival. Charging for parking seems unnecessary when paying over $300 a night.
