The newly refurbished DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole looks out over Brighton seafront and is close to the shops and city center. The grand Victorian building has large rooms two restaurants fitness center with an indoor pool. The DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole mixes original character with modern comforts. Rather underwhelming in its overall...

Liked: The room was pleasant and comfortable, if rather small. Having a sea view was good. The spa was a welcome bonus.
Disliked: It was a pity that the bar wasn’t available due to a private function. This is disappointing given the price of the hotel. Lack of a minibar in the room was also a slight disappointment. I felt that the hotel lacked real style and didn’t live up to its former reputation and there may be better options at the price.
