We stayed on 10/26/12 for a concert at the Wilbur. I was quite concerned after reading reviews that were either 1 star or 5 stars. I gave it 5 stars and wonder what the 1 star reviewers experienced. We had a deluxe room which, for the $20 more per night, was absolutely worth it. The lobby is beautiful, the staff was friendly and efficient, the elevators ran perfectly, and the experience was excellent. If one is trying to skimp on everything, one should not be surprised if things aren't perfect. Spend the extra money. We'll stay there again.

Liked: Decor, staff, service.
Disliked: Nothing.

Hotel is overrated. Underwhelmed at...

Liked: The lobby areas was impressive.
Disliked: Besides the lobby this is such an outdated hotel. The room was old, with very low end renovations. The barhroom was gross. The tub was so old it looked original. The staff was terrible at the bar area. Unfriendly. Check-In was unremarkable. Complete let down for the price.

Excellent. I always enjoy staying...

Liked: This place is centrally located with in walking distance to the North End and Fenway. The train station is right across the street. Boston Commons is a two minutes walk.
Disliked: Super small toilet!

AVOID this IRRESPONSIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL...

Disliked: This hotel doesn't even deserve one star.They refused to check me in, claiming a 'system error,' and told me to go to another hotel, promising to reimburse any cancellation fees. Instead, they charged me a no-show fee. I tried to dispute it, but they haven't even responded to my inquiry. Booking.com couldn't even resolve this situation. AVOID this IRRESPONSIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL HOTEL at all costs. They clearly don't respect their guests or keep their word.

I love Boston but next...

Liked: The location was perfect, near to everything, a lot of coffee shops near by, Chinatown, Sub, the staff of the house keeping are very friendly and helpful
Disliked: We understand that is the downtown Boston but man the bathroom are horrible, extremely small, plus they were spots that was kinda dirty in the grout in the shower, the housekeeper lady was really good,
