Liked: This hotel was well staffed and friendly especially the doorman, he was a wealth of information and the concierge, Barry was great
Disliked: Having 1 facecloth and 1 hand towel for 2 people

Lovely hotel, would stay again

Liked: Location was very convenient for travel from the airport and access to the Faneuil Hall area. Room was lovely and spacious (deluxe king) but as a Brit, I missed a kettle and being able to make a cup of tea (Nespresso machine only). Good to have a fridge in the room. Bed was super comfy and staff were very prompt and helpful when we reported a robe missing and difficulty accessing our safety deposit box. They had made an effort with a welcome area for Marathon runners and had an energy table for us to grab water, fruit, snacks etc on our way out to the start, which was nice. My partner used the gym and said it was good. USB charging at the bedside too was helpful for phones.
Disliked: There was no formal welcome information in room or spiel at reception as such, so I was not informed that we had ten dollars credit per day to spend in the coffee shop or restaurant.I even had to ask how to find the coffee shop. I stumbled across this by accident on day 2 on their website. However, once found, the sweet treats in the coffee shop were excellent. The room rate had been hiked because it was Marathon weekend, but that's the same anywhere.

We enjoyed our stay, but...

Liked: The location was fantastic. The hotel was clean & nicely decorated. The cafe was really nice & the food amazing. We enjoyed listening to the violinist in the library area on our last day. Most of the staff were very helpful.
Disliked: We had a leaky shower that didn’t get fixed. This led to wet section of the carpet, as you got out of bed, which wasn’t pleasant. They tried once to fix it, but unsuccessfully. A bit pricey in the restaurant, though the food was good. Tv kept losing signal.

BIG disappointment

Liked: Staff at the reception was friendly and helpful
Disliked: NOISE! '4 star' hotel and no soundproofing whatsoever. All the noise from outside can be heard. Garbage trucks, people chatting - everything. Not only that you can hear what people are saying in the room next door. Zero comfort. Zero privacy.Carpets are old and were not cleaned once in a century (only vacuumed, maybe). No duvet covers - they use 2 bed sheets! Location is also not central, a bit of a walk. All of that for $450 per night! To sum up, a rip off tired hostel/2* hotel at best.
