Pleasant

Liked: No breakfast offered. Location good for our needs. Appeared to be a bit dated.Room was good size, with a separate kitchen area.
Disliked: Bed comfort, no soap dish in shower, toilet so close to wall that one’s arm easily knocked the roll of toilet paper off the roller, onto the floor. No hand towel rack/hook near the bathroom sink.

Comfortable stay, great location.

Liked: Very comfortable room.
Disliked: No housekeeping for a 5 night stay. We had to chase down a housekeeper to get clean towels and have trash removed. Lighting near bathroom sink needs improvement.Some furniture old and dirty (chairs and table)

Convenient to our son but...

Liked: We chose this location because it was close to our son's house and an easy drive. We also appreciated the low cost (for the area). We liked the idea of having refrigerator and microwave, and a more spacious room. The onsite restaurant has a good breakfast, which is not included in the room price.
Disliked: This is a VERY old facility in great need of repair and updating. It is adjacent to a main road, so very noisy. We were given a room on the second floor. There is no elevator and no one offered to help us carry our bags up. The stairs need repairing and I stumbled on them more than once. The furnishings are tattered and many things are cracked and need repair. Several drawers would not stay shut and were a bit dangerous in terms of collisions. The heating equipment is very noisy and left puddles on the walkway outside the room. The staff, while pleasant, was often not in the office and was difficult to find.

Liked: We did not have breakfast, but the restaurant looked very nice.
Disliked: Room 207, the furniture showed signs of age, the chairs in the kitchen wobbled a bit, the drawers did not stay closed, the plugs were all loose, and we could not figure out how to get the TV to work, it said press a button that wasn't on the remote.

It was very good.

Liked: Location is good, place was clean.
Disliked: There were no kitchen utensils in the kitchen area. This was a single room but it would be nice to have some utensils since there was a cooktop.

It was okay overall but...

Liked: Location was near Safeway and banks.
Disliked: Didn’t have regular cleaning services. Once in every three days. We had children traveling with us and it needed to cleaned everyday so it was messy.

Poor

Liked: Location is central and grounds are well kept.
Disliked: Rooms are poorly updated. I am from the area and have had guests stay at the Hillside for the last 50+ years. The property is well maintained, but the room updates are cheap, carpet is aged and should be updated. Furniture is old and worn and make the room dingy.
