Peaceful!

Liked: If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to live on a small farmette, I highly recommend a visit to this B&B!! There are friendly dogs and cats roaming the property and your surroundings are beautifully peaceful! It literally felt like we stepped back in time. The breakfast was excellent and delivered to our suite promptly at 9am.
Disliked: In all honesty, we initially didn’t feel very welcomed. Gary was extremely direct when going over the rules of the suite, and his personality was a bit strong for us. Upon our first 10 minutes of arriving, I thought I made a huge mistake choosing a residential B&B vs a standard hotel. But after my husband and I discussed things, we sensed Gary may have recently encountered some difficult people that caused him to guarded with us. After all, this is HIS home and I’m sure his heart is simply to protect his family and property. Once we came to that conclusion and decided to “start over” things were absolutely wonderful! We WILL stay here again and already recommended this B&B to friends of ours who frequent Lancaster often.

Exceptional

Liked: The location was quiet and beautiful despite being so close to a highway. The hosts were kind and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious! The Coop cabin was beautifully furnished and well stocked with whatever amenities we would need. I highly recommend Hillside for a peaceful getaway spot.
