Hotel Description
Hillside Bed & Breakfast is an old Victorian residence located in the historic market town of Kendal 2 minutes' walk uphill from the center. This 4-star property offers rooms with free WiFi and on-street permit parking for noncommercial vehicles which must be pre-booked. Each of the rooms with attached bathroom at Hillside has an LCD TV a hairdryer and a well-stocked refreshment tray. The en-suites are environmentally friendly with free flow showers. Drying facilities and ironing supplies are also available. All rooms are located upstairs on the first or second floors. Breakfast features fresh fruit juices cereals and yogurts followed by a full English breakfast or lighter option made with quality ingredients. Guests can enjoy the town's various country and riverside walks as well as shopping in the historic 'yards'. The Brewery Arts Center is 5 minutes' walk away while Abbott Hall Art Gallery and Kendal Museum are 10 minutes' walk away. Hillside is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Lake District and Dales National Parks and has easy access to the A6 and the M6 Motorway. Kendal Train Station is half a mile away. Our car parking is on street residential permit parking. We have a limited number of permits which must be reserved in advance with your booking. The permits do not cover commercial vehicles and trailers and the availability of a permit is not guaranteed.

Lovely b&b with great host...

Liked: Breakfast was very good only a short walk to restaurants and shops and bars.
Disliked: Hill back to hotel from town.

Exceptional

Liked: I had a wonderful room which was spotlessly clean with all the facilities I required. Should I return to Kendal I will definitely stay here again and very much hope to have the glorious south facing view I was able to enjoy.
Disliked: There was nothing - nothing at all!

Liked: Lovely breakfast with a varied continental and cooked.Biscuits and Hot Chocolate supplied in room every day.The host giving advice on which bus routes or attractions to see.

Friendly perfect stay, clean, close...

Liked: Friendly welcome on arrival.Parking permit included to park on road, lots of spaces.Spotlessly clean and nice breakfast every morning.We used it as a Great base to travel the Lake District different places.Would stay again if in the area.
Disliked: Nothing.(Maybe a background radio in the breakfast room as quiet).
