Hillcrest Inn

Great location and staff was excellent. Hotel itself was very dated and needed a lot of updating. Our room was very small and needed a lot updates. The balcony in our room, overlooking the ocean was very nice and a good size. Overall it was okay for the one night we stayed but can’t see spending more than one or two nights.

Disliked: Very dated, run down and room was very small.

Awful, the fire alarm was dangling by wires from the ceiling. The sprinkler system was a cut piece of pipe in the ceiling. The window was open when we arrived and would not close because it was falling out of the window frame; the bathroom was so small that your knees hit the wall when sitting on the toilet. I blew a breaker using my hair dryer because the room was heated with a electric table top heater. Staff was too busy being on personal cell phones that they never acknowledged anyone walking into the building.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Everything.

Liked: Great location. They were very friendly and let us check in early.
Disliked: Beds could have been alot better. Not very comfortable. There was mold in the shower and although the smell of cleaning fluids hit you right in the face when you walked in the door it wasnt very clean. Very rundown.

Liked: The location
Disliked: The bathroom tub cuking had back in it, mold? The shower curtain was dirty,the bottom of the toilet was dirty,you could see under the rim of the toilet was not clean it looked black also dust around the bathroom floor,the mirror was losing its paint. The room was on a slant. The TV was up to high. The room was no smoking, but you could smoke on the porch. The porch needs a good power washing. It sleeps up to 4 people, but it enough stoage.

Liked: For a budget hotel, it was nicely done over
Disliked: No view and I couldn't get a room with one

There was literally a dead...

Liked: The location was great.
Disliked: It was dated, dirty, small, uncomfortable, and gross. My family went to swim in the pool and there was an opossum floating in the water. This place was terrible.

Exceptional

Liked: The view of the beach
Disliked: Wasn't anything I didn't like was a tremendous stay

Disliked: The place is a wreck, dirty, run down, small tiny rooms, Everything was dirty. the room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, and decor is run down, The pictures on line are nothing like it looks now.

Disappointing

Liked: Perfect location. Ocean views.
Disliked: Small room, hard mattress and the floor was crazy slanted. Also, the bathroom sink was clogged.
