Hillbrook Inn & Spa

I couldn’t have asked for...

Liked: There is almost nothing to not like about Hillbrook. It is beautiful, comfortable, and exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Every square inch of the property appears to have been carefully thought out and is very well-appointed. Additionally, the staff is friendly, professional, and very helpful.
Disliked: We stayed in the farmhouse, and there are no individual air conditioners in the suites. There is a thermostat that controls the temperature for the entire house, and it is inside of a lockbox. You have to call a number to have the temperature changed, but it would end up changing the temperature in the other guests’ rooms, as well.

Liked: The rooms and breakfast were excellent!!
Disliked: I thought that the place I'd be staying was the place where you check in. I was still happy with my room at the Hawthorne House, but it threw me a little, at first, that check in was not where I would stay. I selected this establishment because I was enamored with the looks of the building that I saw in the ad for the Hillbrook Inn and Spa. Still happy overall.Also, I didn't make a reservation ahead but i decided that I wanted to get a facial at the spa. To my disappointment, the woman who does the type of facial was on vacation when I was visiting. It would be nice to have someone who can fill in when another is away.

Experience lived up to their...

Liked: Breakfast and staff were excellent. Cleanliness at the farmhouse was commendable as well as the furnishings. Renovation was very tastefully done. The living area separate from the bedroom was nice as one could watch tv without disturbing spouse. Very relaxing.
Disliked: Somehow when I went to register I missed reserving the room directly with Hillbrook and used Booking.com. The Booking.com site did not mention that the Farmhouse was 1.2 miles away.
