Set within Cairngorm National Park the Highlander Hotel is set in the village of Newtonmore. The Highlander has an on-site restaurant bar and lounge serving breakfasts dinners and bar meals with traditional cuisine. All rooms are en-suite with walk-in showers TV hairdryer tea/coffee making and free toiletries. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel. Liked: Very good value for money, the room was comfortable and the bathroom had excellent facilities and a great shower.
Disliked: The bed wasn't comfortable

Liked: Location, comfortable bed, easy access for dogs
Disliked: Very noisy room above, floorboards creaking loudly with every movement, kept us awake, needs soundproofing. Restaurant food at dinner was poor, more value ready meal than restaurant standard. Breakfast was OK.

Disliked: Noise from guests above.Bring earplugs.or request a higher floor.Still a great stay
