Pleasant staff. Lovely food. Grounds...

Liked: Lovely grounds. Historic building.
Disliked: Very basic room. One small bottle of shampoo/body wash. Not enough for a shower after a run and for work the next day. Room was set up for 2 people so inadequate. Room dated and very cramped.

Such a wonderful hotel and...

Liked: The room I had in the Wellington was absolutely stunning, so clean and modern
Disliked: There was a conference on, and we couldn’t use the terrace to have a drink and only one member of staff on the bar (although she was lovely)

Like the "curates egg", good...

Disliked: Paid a low price and got a hot room on the hottest weekend. Also above the wedding festivities. Not quiet though the group packed up but then the fireworks started. Not as loud as many but the dog was not happy.

Liked: Room was small but clean and well furnished. Bathroom was clean. Free Wifi was VERY GOOD!
Disliked: Breakfast was "Tired" despite being freshly brought out and not particularly well presented.

Perfect

Liked: Lovely little room in fir tree lodge.There was a prom on the night I stayed, didn’t hear a single sound the entire night.
