High Grassings lies in the heart of the Lake District with views of the surrounding fells. Wray Castle an impressive castle owned by the National Trust is just 10 minutes' drive away and Tarn Hows is an 8-minute journey by car. The main house has large terrace with seating area where you can sit and relax and take in the views of Esthwaite Water. Esthwaite Water is also a popular fishing venue. All rooms are en-suite and have a TV and WiFi. High Grassings Country House is a 16-minute drive from Grizedale Forest and the cozy hamlet of Hawkshead is less than 2 miles away. The historical town of Ambleside is 13 minutes' drive away and Windermere is just 8 miles away. Langdale Pikes are within 26 minutes' drive.

Perfect stay view stunning views

Liked: High Grassings Country House is the perfect stay for visiting the Lake District. Its in a peaceful location close to some beautiful villages and towns. Dave couldnt have been more welcoming and friendly and gave us so many tips for local eateries, walks and things to do. The views from the bedroom are stunning, the whole place is spotlessly clean and we had a very comfy night sleep. I couldnt have asked for any more and will definitely visit again! The breakfast was also delicious, thanks so much Dave!

Lovely views from bedroom, great tasty breakfasts, friendly host.

Liked: Breakfasts very good, views were lovely, chickens and peacock were entertaining. Host friendly and knowledgeable.

Great stay in a hideaway place with complete peace and calm, however with only 10 mins to good food and lakes.

Liked: We loved the suite, the view is just the best, waking up to fields and hills. Super comfy bed and great home cooked breakfast. Friendly family run business, we look forward to visiting again sometime. Its perfect place to visit all the lakes, all within 10 mins drive.
