Liked: Friendly reception, nice looking from the outside, reasonable mattress
Disliked: Shockingly flat, horrible pillows which we had to put a folded towel underneath to try and get any sleep and which gave us both a really sore neck all day today, couldn't ask for new pillows as reception closed at 9. Heater just kept blasting hot air out all night and turning the thermostat right down made no difference so we were boiling hot all night. Terrible noise from pipes when other rooms turned on their shower. No real soundproofing between rooms which much reduced the little sleep we could have had.

Liked: This was our second stay at High Country Inn. The first time we stayed in the "suite" with kitchen area, living area and separate bedroom. This time we were in a basic room, but it was perfectly adequate for our overnight needs (although I would have liked more lighting). Office staff is very friendly. This is a solid, affordable choice if you are in the Ketchum/Sun Valley area and don't need a lot of frills. There is a gas station across the street, but few other amenities in walking distance -- though there is a barbecue/picnic area at the back with a creek nearby.

Disliked: Smell in the room, layout, lack of natural light and lights in general, toilet seat, noise of appliances. Receptionist listening to loud radio so that I had to shout at him for him to hear me.
