Affordable Comfort Just Outside the Heart of Leeds

Modern yet unfussy, High Bank Hotel offers a down-to-earth stay just 2 miles from the buzz of central Leeds. Set in a peaceful residential neighbourhood, this practical Yorkshire spot is a favourite for travellers who value simplicity, comfort, and a great location without the downtown price tag. With free parking, complimentary WiFi, and easy bus access to the city centre, it's a convenient launchpad for a gig-filled weekend.

Each room comes equipped with a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee facilities, and either an en-suite or shared bathroom—all with complimentary toiletries. Some rooms even offer city or garden views for a little extra charm.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're heading to a show in Leeds, you'll appreciate High Bank Hotel’s balance of quiet comfort and proximity to top venues. Direct bus links nearby take you straight into the city centre, so you can skip the parking hassles and late-night taxi costs. After the encore, return to a quieter area—perfect for decompressing. Flexible check-in from 14:00 means you can settle in before the show, and while check-out is at 10:30, the calm residential setting makes sure you’re well-rested.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a cost-effective base
  • Solo travellers chasing a bucket-list gig
  • Couples making a weekend out of a concert
  • Fans who want a quieter post-show recovery space
  • Budget-conscious music lovers

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, guests love the nearby eateries within walking distance that serve late-night bites. For those post-concert cravings, Leeds city centre is a quick bus ride away and has a huge variety of pubs and takeaways. Tea and coffee facilities in your room help kickstart the morning after, and many guests appreciate local cafés for a leisurely breakfast.

Nightlife Options

Want to keep the night going? Leeds city centre is packed with bars, clubs and live music venues, and it's all easily reachable by bus or a short cab ride. While High Bank Hotel itself is a quieter retreat, its location gives you the best of both worlds: party downtown, then recharge in peace.

What People Say

Reviews often highlight the excellent value, friendly staff, and easy access to public transport. Many guests also appreciate the free parking—a rarity this close to the city. Clean rooms and basic comforts make it a go-to for budget travellers attending events in Leeds.

Areas for Improvement

This isn’t a luxury hotel, and some rooms come with shared bathrooms, which may not be for everyone. Décor is simple and a little dated in places, but it’s functional and clean. Breakfast isn't served on-site, so plan ahead if you like to eat early.

The Bottom Line

High Bank Hotel is a smart, budget-friendly pick for concert-goers who want easy access to Leeds venues without the downtown noise or price tag.

Pleasant

Liked: Large bedroom on ground floor. Good size bathroom. Hotel has had some modernisation.Basic but OK value.
Disliked: Although we didn't book breakfast I assumed that the hotel served breakfast and we could organise on arrival, this was not the case, no breakfast on offer. Car park had loads of broken equipment pilled up and our room looked over this.

Bad

Liked: This was my worst ever experience in trying to book into an Hotel room. This place ought to be shut down, rat's running around in the room & roaches in the reception room. Discussing place. I did not stay there & never would. Everyone ought to stay well away. One would be better sleeping on the street.
Disliked: Staff that could understand the English language.

DONT STAY HERE

Liked: Honestly the lady at the front desk was the only nice thing about this hotel.
Disliked: There was mold all over the bathroom, it was gross!! there was no shower curtain. I fell after my shower because the water fell on the tile. The room was disgusting. The cups in the room were not clean at all. I didn't even know it was a shared bathroom.
