Comfortable but dated, the staff...

Liked: Nice and quiet, comfortable rooms. Staff were lovely
Disliked: Breakfast on the first day was chaotic, no where to sit, no eggs, no tea and coffee - staff not coping well with a full dinning room - better on the second morning.Rooms are a little dated as is the evening menu - could do with dragging itself out of the 1970’s.Disappointing that there is no outside seating (apart from sitting in the car park). There was a nice outside area but only for people using the conference room (which wasn’t in use while we were there).

Friendly staff and good location

Liked: The rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. There seemed to be only one member of staff on the bar and serving food. The food did take a long time to come out but was good. The young girl on the bar was very polite and apologized for the wait for food. Location as ideal for Hickstead showground.
Disliked: hotel was a little tired and the outside could do with a little bit of TLC.

Disliked: No much we didn't like expect for the shower head to high for short people .no plug socket beside bed

Liked: Most of doors are tatty around the bottom, especially the toilet. You can easily make a difference by sticking a small matching strip along the bottom of the doors? Only a suggestion…

Great value Great location

Liked: Breakfast has been sorted! Much better system with a self-service hotplateeasing the pressure on the one member of staff (who does a great job).Thank you.
Disliked: Pillows are a bit hard (being a bit pernickety)
