Disappointing

Liked: QUIET convenient location and good value for money.
Disliked: Tired old hotel, last revamped in the 70s judging by fixtures and carpets.

Superb

Liked: Only used the bedroom. Did not require any meals or use the bar as I was visiting friends locally. Comfortable bed and room a good size. Good size carpark for easy parking.
Disliked: Would have liked a power socket near the bed.

Would definaly will visit again...

Liked: I really appreciated being allowed to stay with my dog — that was very important to me. Also, my room was very clean.
Disliked: The bed mattress was too hard, and after four nights I had significant back pain. Also, there was a lot of noise from other guests around 6am, with doors being closed loudly and people talking as they passed our room.

Poor room but excellent staff.

Liked: The staff were excellent & the food was also good.
Disliked: The room ( No. 203) was appalling. The bathroom was disgusting in that the door was loose & did not shut properly, the sink was cracked & dirty looking & the tap was loose & moved when in use, the rubber mat used for the shower was filthy & marked, the shower curtain was black at the bottom, the bath taps did not work correctly, the bed was not wide enough & creaked with every move, no power points next to the bed & house martins nesting directly above the window resulting in droppings all down & very noisy. Overall the room was very grubby & taking all this into account it was unsuitable for guests.

Liked: Good location. The staff were great, friendly and helpful
Disliked: My room was by the entrance to the hotel, at night people sat outside, close by smoking. The smoke got into the room and one night the noise went on for a long time, which meant I had to choose between having the window shut and a hot room or keeping it open and putting up with the noise
