A charming stay in a...

Liked: It was an old house, over 100 years old, with all the atmosphere of that time. And that was the most exciting part of being here.Light breakfast was included.
Disliked: I needed to pay an extra fee for overnight parking ($8).The lighting in the room was too dim.

Liked: Nice, quiet, safe
Disliked: Only 1 bathroom on each floor for each gender. I’d imagine it can get busy during peak.You can have ring the doorbell every time you go back in the hostel, which is awkward and can discourage people from going out.Pretty expensive for what it is

Disliked: The stairs but it’s an historical building so hard to add ramps or lifts

Liked: The character of the building is wonderful, especially if you like Victorians. We booked a 2 bed private room and it was clean, beautifully decorated and good beds. I felt great about my purchase.
Disliked: The area has a fair amount of homeless tents. We didn’t have any trouble but it is something to have a heads up on.

Liked: International Hosteling is a special category of lodging, defined by shared kitchen, shared dorm rooms and shared bathrooms. Perfect on a budget for me .. and HI Sacramento was a stellar Hostel .. four blocks from Amtrak, the Capitol & Old Town.

Awesome, I’d go back

Liked: I liked the charm of the Victorian house, the staff, location, near downtown nightlife.
Disliked: There were some unhoused people nearby but they kept to themselves, it was fine.

Liked: Beautiful house. Well located. Comfy room and bed. Nice lounge and good facilities in the kitchen. Staff were lovely.
Disliked: It could have done with a slightly brighter light bulb or another lamp
