HI Sacramento Hostel

We really enjoyed our stay....

Liked: It is a beautiful historical mansion inside and outside.
Disliked: While we were there, we read about the history of the mansion and saw pictures, the upkeep of the gardens would have added to the charm of the place currently.

Homey and comfortable

Liked: Staying in this historical mansion always feels a little like coming home. I like that the beds are made - not all hostels provide this. New bedding was purchased a few years ago, so it looks nice. The room sleeps twelve, but there were only two of us the night I stayed.
Disliked: Breakfast used to be provided, but not any more. You can get lucky grazing from the free food shelf.

Liked: Great place, history, comfort, staff, kitchen. Clean.
Disliked: Laundry not available, broken urinal men's room, would like chairs on beautiful porch, though I understanddifficult with Sacramento's homeless population.

Disliked: The bed was terrible, the mattress doesn't feel like a mattress, it's sort of like a bag with a lot of fabric.When I arrived to my dorm after the check-in, around 20:00 a woman was there with some plastic bags on my bed. First she toll me she was waiting for some friends and when I let know her that was my bed, she said ohhh Sorry, I'm the housekipping I'm leaving ... she cleared my bed and she left the roomThe door of the restroom is not cleae; requiere~
