Liked: The Castle and the gardens were wonderful. Very well kept and open to visitors with much to see. We stayed at the Astor Wing with excellent rooms, dining halls.Truly a unique experience. Recommend highly.

Surreal, historical and beautiful grounds...

Liked: Stunning architecture .The History . The grounds and gardens and when it’s closed you can walk round the grounds and no crowds .
Disliked: Flight path of Gatwick of which is totally out of their hands .

Liked: Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was good
Disliked: The staff should let you know re emergency numbers - not via a book in the room. Partner was having chest pains. Reception & security no where to be seen at 2am. I was unable to open the front door..re reception.. I eventually did... Then, I had to drive up - to let the ambulance in - as they didn't have code. Go via car sensors. Feel i note should be put in full view - somewhere outside rooms re emergency. Especially if there was a fire. Only disadvantage re our stay. Luckily, Partner had me... if he was on his own.. could have been a lot worse outcome.

Excellent accommodation with perks of...

Liked: First class accommodation. Being allowed access into the castle grounds after opening hours was incredible!
Disliked: It’s on the flight path for planes coming into Gatwick. First night they stopped at approx 1am but started again at 5am. Second night, I had got used to it. So slept wellThat said, it didn’t detract at all from my stay. Next time, I’ll be ready with ear plugs!

A Magical Stay at Hever...

Liked: How do I even begin! Our stay at Hever Castle was truly magical from start to finish. We were visiting nearby Chartwell and decided to stay in the area and I’m so glad we did.From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. I wish I had caught the name of the lovely girl who checked us in she was so kind and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and she was very informative. Our accommodation was beautiful we had a spacious room with a huge bathroom, very comfortable and full of character. One of the absolute highlights was being able to walk around the castle grounds after hours, once the day visitors had left. It felt so peaceful and special, a real privilege.We also had a delicious dinner at one of the charming local pubs, and breakfast the next morning at the castle accommodation was fantastic. There was a great selection of both hot and cold options, and everything was fresh and tasty.After breakfast, we made full use of the tickets included with our stay to explore the castle itself and wow! It’s incredibly beautiful and packed with fascinating history. The rose garden in the Italian gardens were absolutely breathtaking.This was one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had. We would 1000% stay here again and can’t recommend it highly enough!
Disliked: The only thing to note is that we happened to come on a particularly hot night and thought we had the air con sorted, but it must have kept turning off during the night because it got very warm. We opened the windows, but being courtyard side, we did hear some early morning deliveries. That said, it really didn’t ruin the experience at all
