Love it, always will
Liked: I love the quaint location and understand the vibe of the hotel. Would have liked a minimal scoop chair in the room to dine, dress, or read
Disliked: Earlier check in, but it was standard timing

Great location, great rate, great...
Liked: The hotel is very old but they have worked hard to keep it up to date ! It is very clean, the location is great, staff was friendly. It was recently updated with fresh paint, good air conditioner, fresh linens.
Disliked: My room, a small cottage, was pretty small but just right for one person. I would have appreciated a few wall hooks to hang things on and a ceiling fan would have been extra nice.

Ehhh.
Liked: Room was exceptionally clean, even though I had to smell fabuloso for 12 hours
Disliked: There was absolutely NO view , my queen room became a shack in the back with a full sized bedNo ice, no offer of amenities. Just here's your key.

Great getaway location!
Liked: Location and convenience! I had no idea how big the hotel was and it was absolutely lovely being placed in one of the cottages. Very beautiful and I felt very safe. My room was clean and the sheets were very soft. Would 100% come back to Hermosa :)
Disliked: My only complaint would be the bed was on a frame that was a bit creaky. The shower stall was small and I sometimes felt cramped but it was nice to have conditioner when I forgot mine at home.

Friendly but it the rooms...
Liked: Location was perfect and everyone was nice .
Disliked: Sheets were dirty (hair and stains)and were ripped. There was no mirror big enough and low enough for me to use. I had no way of seeing my self our my outfits before going out . I had to keep running down stairs to use the public bathroom mirror . The room could use a little more decor like a canvas on the wall or lamp..Ect it felt like a jail cell and I wasn’t really comfortable staying there .

Good stay, but amazed how...
Liked: The location cannot be beat. We also liked the independence of the place. Staff is friendly, and helpful when engaged.
Disliked: The general upkeep of the place. Paint is very outdated and chipping off everywhere on property. Decking throughout hotel is very aged. Major splinters. Must be sanded and treated. No sitting chair in room. Only bed. Curtain rod bent and falling off wall. AC vents and filters not cleaned at all. Blowing super dirty old air. Hole in wall was stuffed with papertowel. Not even covered up. In bathroom, wall has screw holes from previous attachment by mirror, old patches on wall peeling as well as more paint chipping. Area around window sills not cleaned in a long time. Build up of dirt and dust very noticeable. Mold in shower along caulking seams at bottom around entire floor basin. Needs bleach and disinfectant.
