Efficient staff, lovely hotel in...

Liked: The room was exactly what I expected after booking, a small balcony overlooking the street, large room, good bathroom. Not a 5 star modern hotel (if that's what you're looking for you wouldn't book here) but a delightful old style hotel with old style Service.Nice quiet breakfast room, most all you might want available, served 06.30-11.00 so suits all requirements.Beautiful architecture, a reminder of the old style Berlin. A 5 minute walk to Kurfurstendamm with plenty of restaurants close by, there's 5 in the same street!
Disliked: The lift, although it works perfectly well and a lot less noisy than many other hotels, was a little small. The two of us with our bags when checking in were a little cramped. Amusingly an old sign mentions it has a maximum of 5 people. On Lilliput maybe. I would imagine that the equivalent of the UK Grade 1 listed would apply here and that alterations would be unrealistic.

Overall really nice stay, friendly...

Liked: Clean, nice beds, complimentary tea, kettle. High ceilings are cool.
Disliked: No air conditioning but it’s probably not really a thing in Berlin. The stuff kept closing the windows when it was hot outside and i wanted to leave them open to let the wind in.

Overpriset.

Liked: Beautiful room.
Disliked: Very varm room, the curtains did not keep the light out! Very noisy outside at night and roadwork in the morning from 07:00. I slept terrible.

4 hostel: Take care if...

Liked: Location.Quiet and clean room.Overall very nice hotel.But the big problem. Below.
Disliked: Safety box does not work. I told issue for different reception personnels and they told: we will fix / check it. I told this to them 2 x times and nothing happen. It has been ok to info "we cant fix it, sorry" , that would fine, I would be ok with that response. No need to change room. I use to book 4/5 star hotels for this reason as its not nice to carry passport , etc valuables in the city. Pls check and fix this for next visitors. Overall everything was fine.

Beautiful hotel. Like going back...

Liked: The room was enormous with a huge bed. We even had a balcony. Definitely recommend staying here if you love the 20s and 30s style
Disliked: Absolutely nothing. The breakfast was gorgeous. The croissants were the nicest I’ve tasted in a while.

A piece of Paris in...

Liked: A little gem in a lovely area! I felt like a guest in an old family house.Just loved the atmosphere!The evening bread was fantastic, like cherry on the cake.There are very good Italian restaurants just 100 meters from the hotel. (The smaller one was my favourite)
Disliked: I could'n extend my visit as the hotel was booked :)
