The Spotlight on Henley House Hotel

Charming Kensington Boutique Near the Music Action

Modern comfort meets traditional London charm at the Henley House Hotel, a boutique townhouse overlooking a peaceful garden square in Kensington and Chelsea. Just steps from Earl’s Court Underground, this stylish spot blends classical features with contemporary design, making it a calm yet connected base for your concert getaway.
Each air-conditioned room is thoughtfully designed with smart TVs, LED lighting, and sleek glass-walled bathrooms. Whether you're in town for a major gig or a weekend music escape, Henley House delivers quiet comfort in one of London’s most iconic neighborhoods.

Why Concert-goers love it

With Earl’s Court Station only a two-minute walk away, you’ll have direct access to London’s top music venues without the long late-night trek. The quiet residential setting means you can wind down peacefully after the show. Flexible check-in from 15:30 and a relaxed check-out time of 11:00 makes it easy to work around late-night setlists and early-morning recoveries.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish, central base
  • Solo travelers catching a once-in-a-lifetime show
  • Couples making a romantic music weekend of it
  • Fans wanting a quieter place to recharge post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who value comfort and location

Food and Drink Options

Start your day with a continental breakfast buffet served in the hotel’s light-filled conservatory, featuring fresh croissants and coffee — perfect if you're recovering from a late night. While there’s no on-site restaurant or bar, the hotel’s location puts you within walking distance of plenty of local cafés, pubs, and late-night eats around Earl’s Court and Kensington High Street.

Nightlife Options

You’re just minutes from bars and lounges in Kensington and nearby South Kensington. While Henley House doesn’t have a bar of its own, its serene vibe makes it ideal for guests who prefer to explore the city by night and return to peace and quiet.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s stylish rooms, friendly staff, and excellent location close to the Underground. Many reviews highlight the cleanliness, the value for money, and how surprisingly quiet the rooms are despite being in central London. The garden views and modern decor are also frequently praised.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can feel compact for those used to larger spaces, and some guests mention the lack of an elevator for upper floors. While the breakfast is well-reviewed, a few travelers wished for more hot options. Not ideal for those looking for a hotel with a buzzing bar scene on-site.

The Bottom Line

A stylish, quiet base in central London, Henley House Hotel is a top pick for concert-goers who want great transport links, modern comfort, and a peaceful place to recover after the encore.

Pleasant

Liked: V clean and room comfortable. En suite small but very clean. Good location.
Disliked: Arrived at lunchtime and couldn't get in. Rang the bell but no response. After a while of waiting some other guests let us in. The receptionist was at lunch. There is a check in screen outside but because it was before 3pm it didn't allow check in or an option to drop luggage off.

All in all, a great...

Liked: The location is perfect! Right in Earls Court, two minutes from the tube. The room was a good size (some reviews said they were small but ours was good). A fridge in the room which I love - all hotels should do that! Air con which was vital!! Good communications - I’d read about air con not working so emailed to ask. Really quick response and it worked! Nice breakfast buffet.Comfy and clean
Disliked: The bathroom is weird - a glass wall separates it from the room with Venetian blinds encased in the window - with the control strings on the outside?! Also they are not completely blocking so there with my son was not great. Shower is slow - not powerful. For a hotel at this price, I’d expect better from them in tea and coffee facilities. It’s important to me - maybe not to others. But very basic - tiny cups, basic tea and coffee and one teaspoon. The (smart) TV is not connected to the internet so couldn’t watch even free catch-up channels. I don’t think this would be hard but necessary for Wimbledon weekend!!

Good location

Liked: Location excellent. Good value for money. Hotel very clean
Disliked: Air conditioning must be on a timer so you had to get up during the night to put back on. Also can't drop it below it's preset temperature. Would have been fine but we stayed during a heatwave.
