As close to Europe as...

Liked: The place is utterly charming with a lot of love poured into making the experience pleasant and memorable. We stayed in a wonderful room with an full bath the first night and extended our stay, moving into another room with a not so great bathroom the next, but it's a very old house and I marvel at how they keep it going. Guests have access to the grounds and hot tubs on the roof and in the garden, lovely places to sit and read and the staff was just wonderful. I would definitely go back - and make sure we get the room with the spectacular bath!
Disliked: The authenticitiy of the place includes marble bathroom floors that are super slick. Also, while the breakfast was delicious (great coffee!!) the breakfast is a little sweeter that we prefer. I understand there is a menu though, we just didn't ask for it.

We stayed an extra day...

Liked: The building and grounds are absolutely charming and you can tell that they are kept with love for the place and respect for its history. Yet, it has modern comforts. The staff was super friendly.
Disliked: While breakfast was delicious, we usually prefer fewer sweet foods in the morning.

Loved staying here & the...

Liked: Bed was extremely comfy. The room was spacious & pretty decor.Breakfast was a very European w little croissants, mini quiche fruit & even a dessert
Disliked: Coffee was weak & I would have liked more of a wine selection by the glass. They only offered the Henderson wine which wasn’t to my liking

Henderson Castle Stay

Liked: The free breakfast was yummy, beautiful flowers around the facility, nice fire pit and chairs and very friendly staff. We had a very comfortable bed. Kept up well for how old the castle is. Good proximity to downtown bars and restaurants.
Disliked: We toured the other open rooms. Some rooms were nice and some were dark and small. Our room was kind of hot. Not the best air-conditioning.
