Liked: The room was nice. The décor thru the castle was nice as well. Stained glass was gorgeous. Woodwork moldings, painted ceiling were nice as well . Loved the suit of armor. Fireplace in dining area was nice
Disliked: The breakfast was disappointing-- a small yogurt with sugar cereal on top, a croissant that was dry and about 4-5 pieces of fruit cubes, (which they wanted you to leave an 8.00 or more tip for ) they had on the slip for the tip that the small breakfast we had was 20.00 per person included in our room fee ) then a menu was brought out incase we wanted something else like eggs etc. They didn't answer phone calls I had called on 3-17-23 in am, regarding a question on check in and no one called me back until late on the Sunday after I'd checked out on Saturday!! I'd e-mailed a day or 2 prior to check in & no answer at all on that. Not good customer service-- when you check out you leave your key in a box. The shower head in the bathroom was old and not much pressure to it, and the water for the shower had to be squeegeed off the floor!! It was standing water on the floor around the sink toilet everywhere. Very odd set up. They left the squeegee on the back of the toilet. This was my 1st time in a BNB and I don't really know if I'd try another ... we'll see. The parking is also not very good the 1 handicap spot they had was in an area that if cars we're parked directly in back of you it was really hard to get out of. (i am handicapped -- it was tight squeeze as well due to they parked their snow plow/grounds truck there. Stairs going up the front and ramp around back rickety as well handrails loose. If someone needed wheelchair access isn't friendly in that area either -- I didn't see an elevator or any type of access for this at all. I'm not at that point yet but looking out for the next person.

Poor

Liked: Breakfast was basic, but we knew that going on, so it was fine.
Disliked: Heater wouldn't work without knocking out power; went out 3 times, so no using heater. Jacuzzi tub wasn't filled to cover bottom jets after 15 mins, so no Jacuzzi (or shower). No towels on arrival & after asking, they were left on the hall floor outside room door & we only got one washcloth. TV wouldn't work. An extension cord ran across floor where person on same side of bed had to try & not trip over it. Just a terribly small room for 2 people, and no place for suitcases. I don't think bed was queen; seemed very small. The castle itself was charming, but the Maple Tree Room was very disappointing, & after telling all this to gal at reception desk, her reply was that there were several guests that had issues that same evening. Finally she said, "do you want me to tell the manager/owner?". That was the whole point. If it hasn't been 10:00 at night, we would have gotten another place to stay. A refund would not be out of order. And I did email a message soon after our stay & got ZERO response.

Liked: Really nothing.
Disliked: At first it seem to be a nice place to enjoy the weevening, but as we got to our room the TV didn't work. We could not find the light switch for the bathroom, the shower was impossible to figure out and no instructions to use. We went to front desk to report issues and we informed maintenence would be up. They never showed up until we decided that if they would not service us we would call down stairs to see what was going on. As soon as the frontdesk answered she said we could get a refund -25.00.we never got our refund and would not accept our request. The owner never contacted us to see if he could help us.

Liked: Nice unique location.
Disliked: We stayed in the Tibet room and the bed was in poor condition. For a premium B&B we expected a nice mattress. We stayed two night and both our backs hurt. Also, my wife thought it needed to be cleaner in general. We will not return.
