Good enough but slightly disappointing

Liked: Very central location, comfortable enough and had the basics needed for a short break
Disliked: It was very basic and small. Not particularly attractive from the outside or inside.

Liked: The location of the hotel is really good, 5 minutes walk from the train station. The subway station is just outside the door every day.
Disliked: I heard the sound of decoration every morning.

Disappointing

Disliked: There is no desk service after 10:00pm. To get access to the hotel, I had to press a pin number. The pin didn't work, and nobody picked up the emergency phone number provided. The card keys didn't have the room number, and, again, there wasn't anyone available to deal with the issue. Eventually, I managed to get hold of the emergency number. The area doesn't feel sage late in the evening. I sent an email to the administration but have never heard from them.

Liked: It was better than expected for the price I paid. Literally steps to the train station. Room, although somewhat barren was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. Great A/C!

Clean, nice hotel in good...

Liked: Reception was very helpful. The room was clean and had a lovely, strong, fast-working A/C unit for the hot days we were there. It had a small desk with a chair and another chair in the corner so we had lots of places to sit and room to put all of our baggage. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and there was excellent water pressure in the shower, though the temperature did fluctuate a little during showers. There was a hair dryer and a magnified mirror in the bathroom.
Disliked: My only real critique would be the nighttime noise. I felt like either there were just a lot of loud guests or I could hear everyone and everything. The first night we stayed I swear there was someone intentionally jumping HARD on the floor somewhere above us and just people tromping around and slamming doors.

Passable

Liked: It’s located very close to the train station and not too far from museum quarter and old town. No noise from the street/outside. I did not have breakfast at the property (I always have breakfast elsewhere).
Disliked: The place looks much better in the photos than in real life. In the photos, the rooms look plain (which is fine), yet in reality they are as austere as I imagine a prison cell to be. Also, it wasn’t clean, and I could hear my “neighbours” speak (had I spoken Italian proficiently, I could have listened in). Staff were not friendly at all, they were neutral or unbothered at best.
