Disliked: Restaurant choices are not very good, went outside of hotel for food due to thisAlso very strange that the coffee machine in the bar turned of until late in the afternoon, only basic poor coffee available until then

Brilliant weekend

Liked: The location. It was a beautiful setting

Way overpriced. Would never stay...

Liked: Staff were lovely, and the location was stunning. Rooms were a very good size but decor was old fashioned.
Disliked: Carpet threadbare in parts, not a good look.Absolutely no information in rooms, no room service menus, nothing.Both phones in the room weren’t working, and mobile phone service sketchy at best. No wifi package to purchase, only a free to use Wi-Fi, which was ok but not brilliant, especially given the lack of normal signal.Due to the above, had to make 3 separate trips to Reception to order room service. Was told it would be 30 minutes maximum, but ended up being over an hour.Many of the plug sockets in the room weren’t working, only found one that worked.Room was full of midges. Killed about 20 and STILL kept finding them.Throughout the night the room was repeatedly over heated, before cooling down, then another blast of heat.Toilet wouldn’t flush properly, took repeated flushes to simply remove a piece of toilet roll.Also, when neighbouring rooms ran water in THEIR rooms, the bath plug hole / pipes in our room gurgled loudly as the water drained away.

Disliked: on arrival we were told that we had to pay an extra £20 per person per 2 hours per use to use the spa facilities. we picked this hotel because of the spa facilities and have never been asked to pay before whilst a resident, this changed the whole feeling of our stay, so we will not be returning
