Very good

I was very disappointed

Liked: The staff were friendly upon check-in and the location was central to alot of things we needed. The beds were very comfortable however the metal frame was very squeaky so everytime you moved it made noise.
Disliked: We were placed in a room on the top floor and with no air-conditioning the only way to cool the room was with a fan. The room was so uncomfortable that we struggled to get a good night's sleep. Even with the fan on the temperature inside the room was too much.Two times when using the shower the water stopped. Other times the water temperature changed so quickly you needed to jump out the way as it would either be freezing cold or very hot. We also had no water out of the tap in the bathroom sink on one occasion.The bathroom was alot smaller than expected. You could not have more than 1 person in there at a time. We were not provided with a bath mat. We could have used a towel but a bath mat would have been preferred. There are no lifts so carrying 20kg of luggage up 3 flights of stairs was hard but the staff will happily carry your luggage up stairs for you. I will not stay at this hotel in the future.

Disliked: The room at the building I supposed to get has fan but we got in different building, and The temperature was 37degres with no fan. We got the room on the top floor with a very weak water. The water stopped during our shower and we had to buy water bottles just to clean ourselves. Can’t wash my hands after using the toilet because the water stop if we flash the toilet. The breakfast was too poor

Faulty Towers

Liked: Location..close public transport ..laundromat opposite great strip of cafes.Third floor had a lovely outlook.
Disliked: Hotel listed they supplied a fan..they did not they ignored our many requests for one and our email about the situation. Our room was stifling hot and I slept with a wet towel over me..it was so bad !!! The room had one small window for ventilation.We had one towel each that wasnt always replaced we had to ask for fresh ones...we had to ask for a bath mat because I almost slipped coming out of the shower..we were given a bath mat once and it was never replaced..we gave up asking.At breakfast the toast I was given was the end piece from the loaf..the crust!I asked for jam for my crust but the lady said there was none because they had given the jam to another hotel ??????..it was like Faulty Towers staying there but worse !!!!I had foolishly paid in advance so they had my money and they couldn't give a damn about our comfort..that is LACK OF !!!

Clean but small and uncomfortable

Liked: It was all recently refurbished so relatively clean.
Disliked: First of all we went to the original address, told they had no rooms left so had to go to another down the road. Given a room and walked into what I can only describe as a furnace! Very small room for 3 people. Clean and bathroom an average size but couldn’t get over the heat. Made two VERY uncomfortable nights. And wouldn’t recommend the breakfast. Scrambled eggs, toast and beans is all there is to offer. Hot drinks and orange juice also. Didn’t go second morning as wanted to have a breakfast to get us through the day.
