Liked: Friendly staff. Hearty breakfast. Convenient for motorway. Pool

Stayed for 1 night

Liked: Every staff member I spoke to throughout my stay were friendly and helpful. Pool area was clean. The courtyard outside the leisure facility was such a sun trap and I enjoyed a coffee out there. Bed was clean and fresh.It's great you can use the facilities before you check in and for the remainder of the day after you've checked out.
Disliked: Jacuzzi was closed. Not enough seats outside of the bar area. Bed was really firm, pillows too so didn't sleep great. I stayed on the second floor on a warm day and was delighted to see a fan was provided but it was full of thick dust which I didn't fancy blowing at myself. The muggy room likely contributed to not sleeping great.

Not the best experience this...

Liked: Dinner was good food as we ate from the bar menu due to the restaurant menu being limited. The rooms are large and comfortable, with excellent black out curtains and we weren’t disturbed by the wedding party.We stayed here 11 years ago and had a great time, and even recreated the photos outside.
Disliked: The pool area is very tired. The jacuzzi wasn’t switched on, the changing rooms were grubby and freezing cold, and it was a disappointing visit.The grounds outside although well maintained had litter within the flowerbeds which is a shame.The hotel door wouldn’t lock and my husband had to fix the door using their limited tools, which is handy as they had no other rooms available but this delayed him for over an hour before joining us downstairs.When he took the door mechanism apart and told the staff member exactly what to say to their maintenance team, he wasn’t even offered a free drink for his troubles?

Lovely place.would like to try...

Liked: Lovely place, staff friendly.
Disliked: Fire alarm went off at 730am. But at least it works. Also the breakfast room was freezing as the air con was far too high so as soon as I put my plate down my food was cold and I didn’t want to eat it.
