The 3-star Hedley House Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area 500 metres from York Minster and 8-minute walk of York city centre bus and rail stations. The hotel boasts a 6-people hot tub a sauna and an on-site beauty therapist. Under the same family ownership since 1984 all rooms feature a large flat-screen TV with Freeview channels. Hedley House was tastefully converted in 1984 from 2 Victorian town houses and has now expanded to include 2 interconnecting houses of self-catering apartments and 11 more spacious quality rooms. It has its own private car park and there is a lounge bar and three dining rooms where award-winning home-cooked evening meals and breakfasts are served. Food is made from locally sourced ingredients and light snacks are also available.

lovely small hotel and nicely...

Liked: the room and bathroom were of a good size and the mood lighting in the bathroom was unexpected but welcome. Colleen was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her.. the breakfast was excellent also.

Exceptional

Liked: Upon arrival they upgraded our room to a bigger one for free so straight away we were happy! The bed was super comfy, the bathroom spacious and spotless with a huge shower, the location was perfect and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Superb

Liked: The staff, particularly on the Saturday, were extremely attentive and friendly! The beds were very comfy and the room had lots of great appliances.
Disliked: Only a slight thing but the shower was a little cold.

Lovely night away

Liked: Loved the location. We had a lovely spacious and clean room. Staff were super friendly and informative.
Disliked: Shower went cold towards the end. Second time used it was fine though!
