Lovey, clean, modern B&B with...

Liked: We we staying for one night to go to the Open Day for you University. Took an Uber from the hotel to the Uni, worked a treat. We’re able to leave the car for the full day, for an extra £6.Nice hotel, very clean. We did not use the hot tub or the outdoor garden, but it looked really nice and modern. We stayed in room 27, top floor, which had a double and one single bed. Beds very comfy. It was an extremely hot day/night when we stayed, found a fan in the cupboard, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was freshly cooked to your order and was very nice. Staff were lovely too. This hotel was very popular on the night we stayed, which is a great sign. Would certainly recommend. We arrived at 8pm, so needed dinner. Over the road is a place called ‘Churchill’s’, we sat outside under the trees with fairy lights everywhere, nice food.

Disliked: Only thing I could say is that there was no air-conditioning/ no working fan. It was extremely hot.Also the noise of the trains going past.

Absolutely fantastic

Liked: From the moment we got there, everything about Hedley house was excellent, the location was ideal staff were friendly and super efficient food was amazing, our room was peaceful and comfortable, and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. This is our first time at the hotel, even though we are frequent visitors to York, but we will stay at Hedley House in the future

Liked: Location is just a short stroll into the city ( approx 5 minutes ) Very good quality breakfastBed very comfortableEverything you need for a short city break, plus a few extra things ... lovely garden to enjoy a late evening drink.. hot tub to relax in and gym for the energetic

Great short break in a...

Liked: Excellent breakfast and staff couldn't do enough. Lovely small garden to relax in at the back. On site parking good value for money. 10 minute walk to the Minster and city centre. Try the hop on hop of bus, it starts 5 min from hotel.
Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: Staff were helpful.
Disliked: Requested a main floor room because of husband’s mobility issues. Had to insist upon arrival.

An enjoyable night away

Liked: The breakfast was freshly cooked and good, all staff very helpful and friendly
Disliked: The room was good with great views bu we were on the very top floor and there are no lifts, we had to walk up five flights of stairs.
